Pony League all-star game

COOPERSTOWN – The Otsenango PONY League all-star game was underway at Doubleday Field in Cooperstown this past Thursday, July 28., with the win going to Team McCullough at 8-5.

The two coaches named to coach the All-Star teams were the Coaches from the two teams who played in the PONY League Championship Game. Notably, under the coaching of Nick McCullough, Norwich would claim the championship game against Unatego at 12-1, successfully completing their 12-0 undefeated championship run.

Just like in the championship game, Team McCullough would jump out to a hot start when they saw an early 4-2 lead come their way.

However, team Clow, under the coaching of Unatego's head coach Shawn Clow, would scratch their way back to a 4-4 tie in the bottom of the fourth inning.

Due to the numbers in the all-star game, and to ensure all the all-star selections received some playing time, the game was scheduled as a nine inning game.
