NORWICH – After a few months of planning, Norwich High School freshmen, Hannah and Brenna Baker, held the First PMC Kids Ride in New York State. The event was part of their ongoing fundraising efforts to help fight cancer.

After receiving approval from the Chenango County Fairgrounds Board of Directors, the freshmen twins hosted a PMC Kids Ride at the fairgrounds on Sunday, June 12, 2016. Numerous volunteers were on site to help make the event a success. Ryan Revoir from Rock Star DJ Service, donated his talent to provide the musical entertainment. Shannon Gawronski provided her fitness expertise to warm up the riders, many of whom had their faces painted, enjoyed refreshing treats and played games before the start of the ride. Kinkajous Frozen Yogurt was also onsite and generously donated frozen treats to the participants and volunteers. Chuck Larcom who traveled with his wife and daughter from Rhode Island conducted safety checks and repairs on participant's bikes and helmets. Kaitlyn Korver of Korver Photography was also on hand taking pictures of this historical event.
