SHERBURNE-EARLVILLE – The Sherburne-Earlville girls were on fire Friday night with a total of 77 points to Clinton’s 37. Lilly Berg notched 17 points on the night as the Marauder’s highest scorer.

"Savannah Irwin had 7 assists and Morgan Simpson 4 steals it was a good team win where everyone was able to contribute," said Sherburne head coach Karen Mulligan.

Clinton girls just couldn’t seem to hold the Lady Marauders off, leaving them trailing by as much as 40 points.

The momentum carried by S-E couldn’t persevere into Saturday’s game against Frankfurt-Schuyler with Migliore on the court. Migliore had 37 of Frankfort-Schuyler’s 64 points.

"We didn't execute on the defensive end. We let Migliore get to the basket, and when they missed shots, we didn't rebound. We allowed them too many opportunities and they out hustled us. We also didn't finish at the rim, especially in the first quarter and had too many unforced turnovers. Lilly Berg had 19 rebounds and 4 blocks," said Sherburne head coach Karen Mulligan.

Final score Frankfort-Schuyler 64, Sherburne-Earlville 56.

S-E Lady Marauders will take on Holland Patent on Jan. 29, at 7:00 p.m. at home.
