Center State Conference League Championships
ORISKANY – At the Center State Conference meet Saturday in Oriskany, S-E sophomore Ian Benedict placed 28th out of 104 runners, and was named a Center State Conference all-star based on his top-30 finish.
Benedict timed a 19:53 over the sloppy 3.1-mile course at Oriskany that was soaked by Friday’s rain. Adding a 53rd was junior Ryan Palmiter in 21:11. “We’re such a young team with a sophomore and junior leading us, and the next three being freshmen,” said S-E coach Anne Geary. “We have all but one of our top seven coming back, and we’re already looking forward to next season.”
