Barn fire south of Earlville

Emergency crews responded to a barn fire just south of the Village of Earlville around noon time yesterday. Firefighters from Sherburne, Earlville, Hamilton and Smyrna responded to the blaze and had it knocked down within 40 minutes, according to county emergency officials. Crews were called back for a minor rekindle around 4:10 p.m. but the fire was quickly put out. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is unknown.
