Sherburne-Earlville 8, Canastota 1

SHERBURNE – Sherburne-Earlville rolled to its fifth win of the season as seven different players scored goals Thursday.

Carter Cole had two goals and two assists to lead the way. Elijah Morris, Kevin Vibbard, Nathan Piazzi, Dan Galvez, Lukas Fetzko, and Sam Caton also scored. For Caton, it was a rare opportunity to come out of his starting goaltender position, and his goal was his first in several seasons on the varsity.

“Canastota graduated quite a bit of their team from last year and are quite young, but we did what we were supposed to do today,” said S-E coach Mike Rodriguez. “It was nice to see the goal scoring production today, and we’re finally healthy. That is a good sign.”

S-E (5-3-1) plays at Ilion Monday.
