First-ever Summer Jam draws hundreds to Norwich   View the Photo Gallery

NORWICH – Hundreds made their way to East Park yesterday for the Chenango Blues Association’s first-ever Summer Jam, featuring performances by local favorites Woodshed Prophets and Tumbleweed Highway, New York City’s Isto, Big Sam’s Funky Nation and Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad.

The event, sponsored by Preferred Mutual Insurance and Wells Fargo Advisors, went off without a hitch, said Chenango Blues Association President Eric Larsen, who credited his fellow association members for their hard work.

“I thought it went very well for a first time event. You kind of cross your fingers and hope for the best, and it takes a lot of cooperation, but that’s one of the great things about Norwich. From the city PD to the members of the association, it’s a true team effort.”
