Norwich 4, Seton Catholic Central 3

NORWICH – Norwich defeated Seton Catholic Central for the first time in 20 years, and dealt the Saints their first Southern Tier Athletic Conference loss in over a year, Friday at Norwich High School.

With three points already in the bank, Norwich needed a win from either its first, second or fourth singles players to secure the victory.

Matt Craig, playing second singles, made a dramatic third-set rally to secure the decisive team point. Craig won his opening set against Dan Hackford, 7-5, but lost the momentum giving up a 4-2 lead in the second set to set up a final set super tiebreaker with the first person to 10 points capturing the set.
