S-E 3, Mount Markham 2

MOUNT MARKHAM – Sherburne-Earlville took command of the game about 15 minutes into the second half scoring two quick goals en route to a road victory over Mount Markham Monday afternoon.

Tied at 1-1, S-E’s Trevor Bays connected on the go-ahead tally off and Bryan Palmer pass, and Carter Cole added much-needed insurance about two minutes later after a pass from Mike Harlost.

S-E used pinpoint passing to grab the 1-0 advantage 10 minutes into the game. Sam Lagoe fired a hard shot into the far post off a Cole pass. Lagoe and Cole exchanged multiple one-touch passes to set up the tally. “That first goal was one of the best I’ve seen here in the last five years,” said S-E coach Mike Rodriguez.
