Norwich clinches pony league division crown

Norwich 21, Edmeston 3

NORWICH Norwich scored nine runs in the opening inning, and went on to wallop Edmeston last week to clinch the Otsenango Pony League Division A title.



The defending league champions rapped out 29 hits led by Cameron Prime. Prime hit a grand slam in the opening inning, then added a three-run triple in the fourth on his way to driving in eight runs to go with four runs scored. Eight other Norwich players collected at least two hits, and seven scored two or more runs to support winning pitcher Jeremy Fitch.
