NORWICH – Commerce Chenango has announced that its CEO will leave for a new position with the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce in Bowling Green, Kentucky at the end of the month.
Maureen P. Carpenter, EDP, IOM, president and CEO of Commerce Chenango for the past four years, and member of the economic development and workforce staff for five years prior, has accepted the position of Economic Development Coordinator for South Central Kentucky through the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce.
Carpenter will officially leave her position with Commerce Chenango on April 29.
In planning for a transition of leadership at Commerce Chenango, Kevin Walsh, chairman of the Board of Directors commented, “Maureen has made great contributions to Commerce Chenango, not only as CEO, but in her role as Economic Development Coordinator previous to that. I feel great about the strength of our staff and have confidence that their knowledge and experience will ensure a seamless transition period.”
