Tractor trailer brings down service lines in city during early morning accident

NORWICH A tractor trailer traveling through the city this morning brought down a number of utility lines after two automated arms accidentally extended several feet above the moving vehicle.



The two metal arms caused the explosion of an electrical transformer and disrupted Internet, cable and electrical services for a number of homes along Pleasant and Plymouth streets. The truck drove more than half way around the block before stopping and also knocked down several large tree branches.
