Otselic Valley presents “12 Angry Jurors” this weekend

SOUTH OTSELIC – The Otselic Valley Junior/Senior High School presents “12 Angry Jurors” this weekend, an adaptation of the Reginald Rose classic “12 Angry Men.”

In the production, a dozen jurors – each with their own personal attitudes, viewpoints and opinions – must decide the fate of a young man accused of stabbing his own father. At the start, all but one member of the jury are convinced of the man’s guilt, resulting in a tumultuous debate which threatens to hang the jury, resulting in a mistrial.

“It’s been challenging as it’s a drama, so it’s been difficult to direct,” said student director Douglas Day, a senior who also serves as Student Council president. “It really showcases our lead performers’ acting skills and their level of maturity.”
