Bainbridge brothers highlight Afton Fair rodeo this year

AFTON – If it’s excitement you want, it’s excitement you’re going to get at this year’s Afton Fair. New this year is the inclusion of a full-length rodeo – an evening full of adrenaline rushing entertainment.

Millennia-Entertainment, The Afton Fair, and T Bar T Rodeo present Thursday Night Thunder, a full live rodeo show. Bull riders and cowboys will take center stage at 7:30 p.m. July 22 at the fairgrounds. Headlining this year’s rodeo are two local favorites, Jesse and Jamie Griswold of Bainbridge.

Jesse and Jamie, who are 15 and 13, respectively, have both been participating in bull riding for eight years. The brothers are current members of the International Professional Rodeo Association and the American Professional Rodeo Association. After watching bull riding, Jesse says he and Jamie were drawn to the sport and hope to one day, become professional riders. The boys success, according to Jesse has been, in part, due to his family’s support.
