New Berlin man charged for stabbing wife, accosting relative

NEW BERLIN – The Chenango County Sheriff’s Office arrested a New Berlin man Tuesday for allegedly stabbing his wife with a knife after sexually accosting one of her relatives.

Deputies charged 26-year-old Prince-Aarion J. Suwarrow with second degree assault, a felony, after he allegedly stabbed his wife’s hand as the two struggled for a knife during a domestic dispute. She was treated for minor lacerations at the scene and released.



He was also charged with three other misdemeanors, including third degree menacing for allegedly holding the blade to the victim’s throat and threatening to kill her. The 12:40 a.m. domestic dispute also allegedly took place in front of a young child, and Suwarrow was charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
