Westlake Village Offers Opportunity To Stretch Food Dollars
Published: November 17th, 2009

SHERBURNE – Westlake Village in Sherburne brings the Food Bank of Central New York’s Food $en$e Program to area residents.

The Food $en$e program is designed to increase self-suffiency by helping individuals stretch their food dollars. The Food Bank of CNY purchases food items in large quantities and this savings is passed on to the program’s participants.

Monthly Food $en$e packages are created by the Food Bank and then a newsletter is generated and distributed to each Site Coordinator. The Site Coordinator for Sherburne is Westlake Village resident Barb Huggins, 674-1582. Barb is responsible for taking orders from customers and then placing the orders with Roots and Wings in Norwich, which in turn places orders from throughout the County with the Food Bank.
