NORWICH – Owego put 36 shots on goal against Norwich, and had three players with at least two goals in Tuesday’s shutout victory.
Mandy Spadine led the Indians with a hat trick, while Maddy Tidick and Courtney Malia added two goals apiece. Owego padded the lead at the end scoring three times in the final five minutes.
“They controlled the flow of the game, and their speed from top to bottom was something we couldn’t match,” said Norwich coach Jeremy Bolton. “They had eight different girls take quality shots on goal. Tatyana (Ithier) made some good saves for us, and some of the goals she couldn’t do anything about.”
Norwich hosts Oneonta Thursday at 6 p.m.

COPES CORNERS – G-MU won for the fourth time this season shutting out Morris on Tuesday afternoon.
Tanya Barnes scored at 25:36 off the first half, and Courtney Hillman added an insurance goal with 4 1/2 minutes left in the game after a pass from Calli Hill.
Logan Eltz preserved the Raiders shutout with four saves.

MARCELLUS – After coming close to earning their first win in narrow defeats a week ago, Otselic Valley broke through Tuesday afternoon in a non-league victory at Tyburn Academy.
Freshman Nikki Olin had all four goals for the Vikings, and fullbacks Ester Lyon, Alexis Miner, and Katie Davis limited Tyburn’s scoring opportunities.
“We’ve been playing better and coming together well as a team,” said OV coach Kevin Springer. “I am real glad to see our kids get a win, and to have their hard work pay off.”
OV hosts Cincinnatus on Thursday.

OXFORD – Kyle Ferrington had the biggest offensive day of his long Oxford career.
Ferrington scored twice in each half for the Blackhawks (8-3) leading them to a shutout win over Sidney.
Ferrington sandwiched first-half goals around Justin Schray’s tally to give Oxford a 3-0 halftime lead. “Sidney had some good looks at the goal, and I thought Branden (McConnell) made some nice saves for us,” said Oxford coach Matt Dorman.
