Halfway House bridge opens Monday

NORWICH – The Halfway House bridge, or Chenango County Rt. 32B, will open to traffic at 10 a.m. Monday. The bridge was closed to motorists in early October last year.

Department of Public Works Director Randy Gibbon said a brief ribbon cutting ceremony is planned.

“There’s still a little work to be done, but even though, it’ll be open to motorists at 10 a.m.,” he said.

No doubt Dave Law will be on hand. Hopefully
he'll look across the road and take note of the scenic view.
