Sherburne man sentenced to state prison

NORWICH – After being released for a three-week furlough, Robert R. Reynolds of Sherburne was sentenced Monday to 2 1/2 years in state prison.

Reynolds, who has been incarcerated since July 31 for his in a fatal robbery, stood before Chenango County Judge W. Howard Sullivan to receive his final sentencing.



In the summer of 2007, Reynolds’s home was invaded by Joshua Richheimer, a Pittsfield man. While the two men fought, Reynolds is believed to have shot Richheimer and later buried the victim’s body in a wooded area near Reynolds’s home.

protecting your home is one thing but hiding the body is another. he took a life and tried to hide it. 2&1/2 yrs isn't justice at all.

Way too much time, Hope time served counts twards this. Everyone should have the right to protect their home,no matter what may or may not be inside. Time off for good behavior?? A candle and a prayer every day till Rob is home with his family.

wow! only 2&1/2 yrs for shooting someone, tampering with evidence, hiding the body? wth?
