Nichols to leave post as Dean of Morrisville Norwich Campus

NORWICH – Dr. Edward “Ted” Nichols, dean of Morrisville State College’s Norwich Campus, is resigning in late June to take another position at a Pennsylvania community college, he told The Evening Sun Friday.

“It was a very difficult decision – my family and I have become very attached to this community,” said Nichols, who’s been head of the Norwich campus since July 2002. “My wife, kids and I have been talking about this opportunity for the last week or so. It was a decision that had to be made fairly quickly, and we’ve decided to make that move.”

Nichols will take over July 21 as Vice President and Dean of Academic Affairs at Pennsylvania Highlands Community College, located in Johnstown, Pa., about 93 miles east of Pittsburgh.
