Greene Man Faces Five Years Probation Following DWI Charge

NORWICH – A Greene man changed his plea to guilty last week before Supreme Court Justice Kevin M. Dowd in a DWI case.

Donald L. Benedict Jr, Greene, will lose his license for one year, have to pay a $2,000 fine, a surcharge of $250, a supplemental fee of $25, waive his right to appeal, continue attending and complete drug treatment court and spend the next five years on probation for driving with a blood alcohol level of .14 percent. Anything more than .08 is over the legal limit.
