Greene retains MAC title

DELHI – Delhi provided more of a test than maybe Greene expected, but the Trojans used superior depth and won seven of 12 events to repeat as Midstate Athletic Conference champions.

Helen Zaengle had four overall wins for Greene taking the 200 individual medley and 500 freestyle, while also swimmng on a pair of winning relays. Sam Clink, Lizzy Buhl, and Katie Crowe also had individual wins, and Zaengle and Clink went one-two in the 500-yard freestyle to extend Greene’s lead over the Bulldogs.

Team Scores: Greene 365, Delhi 347, Afton/Bainbridge-Guilford/Oxford 176, Cooperstown 161, Sherburne-Earlville 118.
