Greene 8, G-MU 3

GREENE – Greene used a pair of four-run innings to defeat G-MU Friday in a non-league battle.

The Trojans (12-7) scored all four runs in the second frame with two outs. Braden Williams, Mike Porter, and Don Amell all drove in runs during the inning. Four innings later, Amell started a second four-spot of tallies with an RBI groundout. Nate Whittaker had an RBI sacrifice fly and Dave Fors singled in a run. “Our younger guys played well today and made plays defensively,” said Greene coach Dave Gorton. “Our seniors made them feel right at home.”

Amell led with two RBI, Porter had two hits and two runs scored, and Corey Breck scored twice.

Tim Sloan was 3-for-4 with an RBI to pace G-MU.
