Deputy fire coordinators honored

NORWICH – County leaders honored three retiring deputy fire coordinators during a meeting of the Chenango County Board of Supervisors Monday.

A resolution recognizing the accomplishments of Carl Chawgo of South New Berlin, James Williams of Norwich and James Wright of Norwich acknowledged the integral role the deputy fire coordinators played as part of their home fire departments and fire service in general. “These three men have not only demonstrated a life-long devotion to the fire service at the local, state and national level, they are testaments to quality citizenry,” the resolution stated.
