Greene 4, B-G 2

GREENE – Greene was more opportunistic with its baserunners, and senior hurler Corey Breck scattered 11 hits in a complete-game victory for the Trojans Thursday.

Outhit by the Bobcats (11-3), Greene moved ahead with two runs in the bottom of the fifth. Mike Porter doubled in Justin VanWert, and Porter scored Greene’s fourth run on a throwing error. Breck fanned four batters and walked none.

“Corey didn’t walk anybody and our defense played a very strong game behind him,” said Greene coach Dave Gorton. “B-G’s pitcher (Ryan Reynolds) kept us off balance, but we were able to take advantage of our breaks.”
