Bainbridge man pleads not guilty to child porn charges

NORWICH – Mark A. Cunningham was arraigned on Friday in Chenango County Court. The Bainbridge man was indicted by the Chenango County Grand Jury on charges of allegedly possessing footage of child pornography on his computer.

On March 15, Cunningham was arrested by the state police. He was held on $10,000 bail, awaiting his court appearance.

Cunningham was arraigned Friday on charges of disseminating indecent material to a minor in the first degree and possession of a sexual performance by a child; both are felony charges. Cunningham entered a not guilty plea. Following his arraignment, he was released on a bail bond of $20,000.

In similar news, Americo Martinucci, the owner of a Unadilla Pizza shop who allegedly videotaped himself in a sexual encounter with a girl under the age of 11, was arrested by the FBI earlier this month and charged with one count of production of child pornography. The federal charge carries a minimum sentence of fifteen years in prison and a maximum sentence of 30.
