EARLVILLE – Another spring season at The Arts Cafe at the Earlville Opera House is about to roll, packed with singers, songwriters and other performing artists.
The season gets started right with singer-songwriter Mark Erelli at 8 p.m., March 3. Erelli is an engaging folk artist who makes an occasional foray into the pop genre. He is known to wear his heart on his sleeve, weaving tales of honest and true passion. It is said that passion is what captures audiences and keeps them coming back for more.
With his debut album in 1999, Erelli has since produced five records with his latest one titled “Hope and Other Casualties” produced last year. Over the years Erelli has developed a successful balance of emotion and awareness, all while commenting on the surrounding world. Fluctuating his music between personal life and politics with ease, Erelli compliments his lyrics with folk and rock arrangements with inspiring melodies.
