Bruce Beadle sings with the community in mind

NORWICH – The Bruce Beadle Band will be playing from 9 p.m. to midnight Saturday at the VFW in Norwich. The event, held to promote the United Way’s 2006 campaign season, is open to the public. Tickets will be $5 at the door, or two for $8 in advance. Advance sale tickets are available at NBT Bank, Partner’s Trust Bank, The YMCA and Manpower.

This event is one of the community kick off events being held throughout the county. The Norwich Township Committee, consisting of members Terri Slater, Mary Ann Scheer, Joanne Sykes and Kelly Collins-Colosi, put the event together.

“It will be a great night with Bruce Beadle,” Slater said. “We want the public to come.”

Slater and Community Campaign Chair Charlie McMullen expressed their gratitude to the people at the VFW for hosting the event. The VFW waived the normal fees for using their establishment. This means that all the money the United Way raises through ticket sales will go directly toward their campaign.
