NORWICH – Norwich ended a three-year winless streak against Southern Tier Athletic Conference opposition with a shutout win over Whitney Point Thursday.

Norwich dominated with 24 shots on goal, but didn’t break the scoreless tie until Alex Fanelli’s goal 15 minutes into the second half. Fanelli assisted on Sado Borcilo’s goal late in the game. “The kids were extremely excited with this win, and hopefully we can keep the momentum going,” said Norwich coach Hendrik Lowenstein. “We kept their goalie busy, and he did make some good saves.”
