WALTON – Walton wiped the luster off of Oxford’s opening-game win over Sidney handing the Blackhawks their first loss Wednesday.
Hector Didinado and Brian Backus tallied for the Warriors to raise the lead to 2-0. Oxford’s Cory Seiler pared the lead in half nailing a penalty kick before Cody Tweedy solidified Walton’s win.
“We’re all going to have an off game, I just didn’t expect all of us to have it at the same time,” said Oxford coach Tim Paden. “Walton brings a good offensive line, and they capitalized on our mistakes today.”
