Phoenix Danse Theatre presents "Premier"

NORWICH – Award-winning, cutting-edge dance choreography courtesy of the Phoenix Project Danse Theatre will be on display at 7:30 p.m. July 28 at the Martin W. Kappel Theater, 27 W. Main St., Norwich.

The local dance troupe, led by instructor Amber Perkins of Norwich, consists of 10 members whose strength, balance and aesthetic elegance will be showcased in a myriad of modern performances. The production is titled “Premier.”

Previous troupe engagements include the Elan Awards in New York City, the Ulster Ballet’s Festival of Dance, Choreofest in Woodstock and the world renowned Williams/Henry Danse Theatre of Kansas City.

“To be able to showcase accomplished and professional dancers from our area and beyond in a contemporary concert setting, is the goal I visualized in creating this company,” said Perkins. “It has taken a lot of hard work and dedication by all of those involved to get to this point.”
