Norwich Native Wins "Taught Masters" Fulbright Award

PHILADELPHIA – Andrew Stoquert, a Norwich Native was recently awarded the “Taught Masters” Fulbright Award during his second year at Beasley School of Law at Temple University in Philadelphia and will be completing his third year at the University of Kent in Canterbury, England, focusing on environmental law.

Stoquert once attended Norwich City Schools through the seventh grade has since moved and graduated from Charlotte High School in Punta Gorda, Florida in 2011. Stoquert went on to receive his Bachelor’s degree in 2014 from the University of Miami and is now studying law.

Dr. Barbara C. Gorka, Director of Fellowships Advising for Temple University, assisted Stoquert with his application. “The UK is typically one of the most competitive Fulbright countries, with over 1000 applications for 32 awards, so this is quite an honor,” she remarked in an email reporting his award.
