NORWICH - Aim Fitness in the Town of Norwich is spearheading a program geared toward helping individuals lose weight, maintain the loss and gain the knowledge of how to lead a healthier lifestyle.

The “Aim 2 Lose” program is somewhat similar to what was referred to as the “biggest weight loser;” yet this program, that begins today, focuses more on keeping the weight off, discipline changes, and commitment.

“For people who want to commit to fitness for the first time, or for people who are recommitting after being away from it, Aim 2 Lose is a great starting point,” said trainer Mike McGuire.

This is a 12-week program, with an additional 4-week commitment on the participants' own schedule.

Those who opt to participate will receive 24 group trainings, a t-shirt, nutritional guidelines, and email support. The fee is $249.99. Those who are not current Aim Fitness members are required to purchase a four month membership in addition.

Team sizes range from four to eight individuals.

Logistics require participants must be present in the gym for training at least five days per week. This involves two group training sessions with one of the four trainers, and three additional days of classes.

“We are committed to the results of the clients rather than the competitor aspect,” said trainer Josh Ammons.
