Greene 3, Deposit 0

DEPOSIT - Greene field hockey coach Sue Carlin reached a historic victory milestone in the Trojans’ shutout win over Deposit Saturday.

Carlin’s last win of the 2012 season – a Class C title win – gave her 399 career victories in stints with Maine-Endwell and Greene. With yesterday’s victory, Carlin is among the select few to ever reach the 400-win mark. “I’ve just had some great kids, great families, and great assistant coaches over the years,” Carlin said after the win. “I have great kids again this year, and I’m glad this group did it.”

Senior Katherine Klecha figured in all three goals, each coming in the opening half. Klecha had one goal and two assists. Tiffany Borst added one goal, and Kristy Haskell added the third.
