Ramsaran remanded on $500,000 cash bail; $1 million property bond

NORWICH – Ganesh Remy Ramsaran, 38, of New Berlin, indicted on one count of second degree murder – a class A-I felony – in connection with the murder of his wife, Jennifer L. Ramsaran, was arraigned Tuesday in Chenango County Court at approximately 9 a.m. and subsequently remanded to the Chenango County Correctional Facility on $500,000 cash bail or $1 million in property bonds.

During a previous arraignment following his initial arrest, Ramsaran’s bail had been set at $150,000 cash bail or $300,000 in property bonds. Ramsaran posted the required property bond shortly thereafter and was released from the correctional facility.

Approximately 30 individuals donned blue attire and attended the arraignment on Tuesday in a display of support for family members of Jennifer’s who were also present for the proceeding.
