In his second season as head coach of Norwich, Tom Collier has adopted a similar philosophy to the New York Yankees, one where the standard of expectation – every year – is high.

“The goal for the Yankees every year is to get to the World Series,” Collier said. “If they don’t get there or don’t win, the season is a failure to them.”

Collier’s team isn’t competing for a world title, but his team has accepted the principle that if you don’t set your goals high, you won’t reach your ultimate goal. “My thought with sports is that your strive to be your best, and shoot for the moon,” the NHS coach said.
