There is always time for a great road trip, Patrollers! Even the Toddster has to take a break now and then. In that case, the Toddster has been checking out some new movies in the theater in two different places that we’ll reveal later. Here’s what we saw on the trip.
New on DVD
Argo - Has anyone wanted to film a bad movie on purpose? Based on a true story, during the early 1980s, Americans were taken hostage in Iran and were held for a long time. Six of them escaped and were hidden away. They were searched for and had only a limited amount of time before they were found. CIA Agent Tony Mendez (Ben Affleck) had to figure out a way to do that and he had a reputation for getting the job done. He decided to pretend to put a Hollywood production together and made it seem that Iran had the perfect places to do it. Now Mendez has to find the right people and convince his superiors that this will work. Will he pull it off and get everybody out before it’s too late? Affleck has been on a roll lately winning all kinds of awards for his project. Take a look on Sunday if this movie takes away the Best Picture Oscar starting at 8 p.m. on ABC.
Fun Size - Everybody hates it when they get their plans changed. Wren (Victoria Justice) has one last chance to go on the Halloween party of a lifetime before she graduates. At the last minute, her mother Joy (Chelsea Handler) decides Wren has to babysit. Wren thinks she can do both but decides to not tell her Mother she’s taking her little brother with her. Wren finds out this might not have been such a good idea. She gets distracted by her boyfriend and her brother disappears. Wren has to draft her friends to find him before her Mom finds out. The night becomes one crazy adventure right after another. Can Wren and her friends get back home before her Mother does? In my travels, another crazy party movie coming to theaters is “21 and Over” March 8.
