NORWICH – Six individuals appeared in county court Friday and Monday, three pleading guilty following agreed upon dispositions between the county’s District Attorney’s and Public Defender’s offices, while another admitted to violating the terms of his probation. A fifth pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against him, and the last was sentenced to state prison, to be served as parole supervision at the Willard Drug Treatment Center.

Those who appeared in county court were:

• Shawn M. Fowlston, 28, formerly of Norwich, pleaded guilty to third degree rape – a class E felony – and will be sentenced to one and a half years in state prison at a later date. That sentence will run concurrently with Fowlston’s current state prison sentence. In January, Fowlston pleaded guilty to first degree sexual abuse, sentenced to two and a half years in a state correctional facility.

It’s alleged that Fowlston, in August of 2008 and being over the age of 21, had sexual intercourse with an individual age 17 or under, according to his grand jury indictment.

• Brandon M. Peckham, 19, formerly of Greene, pleaded guilty to second degree attempted assault, a class E felony, and driving while intoxicated, a class A misdemeanor.
