Country rocker Andy Griggs hits the Fair stage tonight

NORWICH – Since its inception in 2008, Millennia Entertainment’s Guitars Under the Stars has featured some of country music’s top talent, including Sarah Johns, Mark Wills, Jeff Bates and Josh Gracin. Now in its fourth year, the annual music showcase will bring country rocker Andy Griggs to the Chenango County Fair, at 8 tonight in the grandstand.

The grandstand will open at 6 for tonight’s performance, which will also feature opening acts Kaitlyn Jackson and The Beadle Brothers. The brothers, Matt and Bruce Jr., have continued to perform in support of their debut CD, “To the Moon and Back,” since its 2010 release. With its tight arrangements and unique blend of country and rock-n-roll originals, the band is poised to take it to the next level, according to Matt Beadle.

“I’ve performed every year for Guitars Under the Stars, so I’m familiar with the gig,” said the vocalist, keyboardist and songwriter. “It’s exciting for us to be able to open for great entertainers such as Andy Griggs and, like him, we love to entertain.”

Beadle announced that the band is currently working on material for a second album of original material and wished to thank those that made the first disc such a success.
