NORWICH – A Norwich man is facing burglary charges in connection with a crime police say he committed just hours before being incarcerated for a previous felony offense.

Casey W. Manwarren, 24, was charged Wednesday with third degree burglary, a class D felony, and petit larceny, a class A misdemeanor, for allegedly breaking into a Town of Norwich business on the night of June 14.

According to Sgt. C. Ted Ellingsen of the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office, Manwarren broke into Redneck Redemption Center in Norwich on the night in question and stole 2,400 cans, valued by the business owner at $240.

The following day, Manwarren was jailed after appearing in court on separate charges related to a rash of burglaries at seasonal residences in Northwestern Chenango County.
