DVD Patrol

Let’s salute, Patrollers! This week the DVD Patrol was busy with a bit of everything with it being the Fourth of July. I hope everyone got to honor the country in their own way. Even though the Toddster was doing that too and finishing up the vacation, we managed to find a couple of old favorites new on Blu Ray, a little TV, and a Toddster’s Take. Not bad for not so much coming out. Here you are!

New on DVD

The Cape - Heroes always have a unique way of getting started. This complete series finds Palm City Detective Vince Farraday (David Lyons) chasing a master criminal calling himself Chess. Chess has his hand in just about everything and he’s just managed to take down the new Police Chief. Vince starts to get close and closer than Chess would like. He comes up with a plan that makes Vince appear that he’s really Chess. During a police chase, Vince gets caught in a massive explosion and everyone thinks he has died. Vince is found by the Circus of Crime headed by Max Malini (Keith David). Vince knows he needs a way to get justice and a way to get back to his family. People in the Circus all have some incredible talents and Vince finds a cape made of some incredible properties that can be used as a weapon. Max offers to teach Vince to use it along with such things as escapism and hypnotism. With the help of Orwell (Summer Glau), Vince becomes known as The Cape. Will Vince be able to use his new talents to stop Chess? The complete series is available in stores now.
