We’re on the way, Patrollers! The DVD Patrol has been so busy catching movies up in the theaters that we have some more DVDs to bring in for this week. The Toddster has been keeping busy as always. Hope everyone has caught “Green Lantern.” So far the consensus has been it’s not going to get a sequel. That’s OK because that just means I have another DVD to add to my collection. Got some movies to tell you about so here you go.
New on DVD
Season of the Witch - Sometimes your heart just isn’t into the mission. Behman (Nicholas Cage) was a knight who has seen his fair share of fighting and bloodshed on the battlefield. Along with his partner Felson (Ron Perlman), they have seen a new enemy- the Black Plague. Now on their way, they make their way to a monastery where they are given one last assignment by the Cardinal himself to take a young girl with unholy powers to a special abbey who they believe is responsible for the disease that ravages the countryside. Behman has his doubts but he does as he commanded. Also, he tells the Cardinal once the girl has been cured, she will be released. Easier said than done. The longer their journey goes, the more Behman becomes convinced that might not be possible. Can he and his fellow knights save her and stop the evil growing in her? Cage has some great movies from the patrol vaults including “Valley Girl,””Firebirds,” and “It Could Happen to You” (with Bridget Fonda).
