Thrilling Win For Cyclones' A Team

UTICA – The Cyclones’ “A” team downed the previously undefeated Utica Bulldogs 27-19 in a hard-hitting battle of unbeaten teams last Sunday.

Tristan Rifanburg led the Cyclone offense with three touchdowns , a point-after conversion run, and 105 yards rushing. Matt Craig opened the game with a 68-yard TD run on the game’s first play from scrimmage, and rushed for 101 yards. John Marvin also rushed for big yardage.

The Cyclones led 18-6 at the half, and held off a furious charge by Utica’s elusive running back, Womack, who had touchdowns of 97 and 76 yards, and a fourth down 33-yard TD reception by game’s end.

Spencer Stone, Marvin and Craig led the hard-hitting, swarming Cyclones defense; Marvin had a key fumble recovery, and along with Killian Benedict, produced a safety. Carlos Ithier, Rifanburg, and Nick Murphy played big defense as well
