Multiple Races In Sherburne Election

SHERBURNE – Tomorrow is the day for Village of Sherburne voters to decide who will be their mayor and who will serve on the Board of Trustees. Residents may go to the Town of Sherburne Hall on Canal Street from noon to 9 p.m. to make their selections.

Incumbent Mayor William Acee has a challenger for the first time since he was elected in 2001. He said if allowed to continue in office, the village board would be able to complete “some very important economic development projects” that he said “will turn Sherburne around.”

Candidate Pat Lawrence introduced himself and outlined his plans if elected mayor through flyers mailed to residents earlier this month. The Village Fire Chief and Lok N Logs general manager said his professional skills and volunteers experiences have prepared him to lead the village. He said he believes in fair, open and honest government.
