Greene hosts historic ghost walks

GREENE – If tales of ghostly apparitions and things that go bump in the night send chills up your spine, the historic ghost tours being sponsored this month by the Greene Paranormal Society will be right up your alley.

Each Thursday during the month of October, the society’s members will lead tours through Greene’s historic downtown district. Guides will include local mediums Cathie Bagnall and MaryAnn Browning as well as Bill Lenga of Smithville, a paranormal investigator certified through the International Ghost Hunters Society.

The tours will meet at 7:30 p.m. at The Goody Bag, located at 76 Genesee St. in Greene. In the comfort of the specialty shop, participants will both hear about the long history of Greene, and learn about the spirit activity witnessed by proprietors Beth and Josh Browning.
