Walton 4, Oxford 1

OXFORD – Walton avenged an earlier loss to Oxford this season scoring three goals in the second half to pull away.

Molly Maguire had two goals including the capper on a penalty kick with 9:24 left in the second half. Carolyn Butler had the go-ahead goal for the Warriors scoring after a scramble in front of the goal at 20:25.

“They took advantage of almost every opportunity (to score) that they had,” said Oxford coach Kathleen Cragle. “I thought we played a good first half. We didn’t pass the ball as well in the second half.”

Walton finished with just five shots on the game and were outshot 11-5.
