Oxford Makes Another Arrest In Out Of Control Party Brawl

OXFORD – The Oxford Police Department has made a final arrest in an investigation into a house party in the Village of Oxford that led to multiple arrests and an out of control street brawl.

Police took six people into custody July 24 in relation to an out of control party the ended with 15 people fighting in the middle of Greene Street.

Chief Richard Nolan said the party began around 4 p.m. on the grass in front of a rental unit at 20 Greene St. inhabited by 29 year-old Timothy and 22-year-old Jessica L. Byrne.

Police said Jessica bought a 12-pack of beer for the minors at the party after she collected their money. Nolan said she was also holding her infant while she engaged in a verbal argument with others at the party, yelling obscenities and fighting. Police said the infant was screaming and crying when they arrived at the scene.

She was charged with unlawfully dealing with a child, endangering the welfare of a child, disorderly conduct and issued a citation for excessive noise and several other lower level offenses.

Timothy Byrne was charged with unlawfully dealing with a child, disorderly conduct and excessive noise.
