NORWICH – Tax Day Tea Parties held across the country on April 15 were just the beginning for those who are discontented with a federal government they say is abusing its authority by misusing our tax dollars. The grass roots movement has continued to build momentum with groups of these like-minded individuals coming together to continue their call for goverment reform. This Saturday, in cities across the country, these groups will hold a second Tea Party to further their cause.

In Nowich, the event is being organized by Charlie Resseguie and the Norwich Tea Party Patriots.

“We want our government back,” said Resseguie, who organized the protest outside the the Chenango County Courthouse on tax day with the help of his wife. Now he has a whole crew of willing and eager volunteers committed to the cause, many of which he met for the first time on April 15.
