Smyrna plans for historical society

SMYRNA – After a year full of events in honor of the Town of Smyrna’s 200th anniversary, Bicentennial Committee members are discussing the idea of forming a historical society and perhaps continuing some of the year’s most popular events.



On Jan. 29, the Smyrna Bicentennial Committee held a meeting to take care of any unfinished business. “At that time, committee members discussed transforming the group into an active historical society,” said committee member Barbara Schwarting.
