Three injured in ATV vs. tree accident in Plymouth

PLYMOUTH – One person was airlifted and two others injured Saturday when the four-wheeler they were riding collided head-on into a tree in the Town of Plymouth.

The operator of the ATV, Marius O. Fratilo, 37, Richmond Hill, Plymouth, was airlifted to Upstate Medical in Syracuse. The two younger passengers, ages 9 and 14, received minor injuries and were taken to Chenango Memorial Hospital.

The accident took place at approximately 6 p.m. Saturday.

Chenango County Sheriff’s Deputy Gary Miller responded to the scene and said Fratilo was “semi-conscious” when crews arrived.

Fratilo must have been "semi-conscious" when he put two young passengers on a four-wheeler. I hope the hospital alcohol and drug tested him.
